Cory Henry And The Funk Apostles Futuristic Sound Is Ready For The Jazz Festival. – Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles concurrently blend experimental, classic, futuristic and retro. Their exceptional sound is an exhilarating, electrifying amalgamation of soul, R&B, gospel, afrobeat, and Jazz.

The fans will commemorate the unification of sounds on an open platform in Cape Town, the International Jazz Festival is on the last day of this month (March). It will please you to learn that the Grammy winner, twice in a row. Brooklyn homegrown musician with a mesmerising and fascinating personality along with the instrumental jazz-R&B, “collective Snarky Puppy,” shows appreciation to an allotted span of live acts, performances established from his debut at ‘Harlem’s Legendary Apollo Theatre while he was still a young boy. 

In his upbringing, he exposed himself to music and performances in the church, his opportunity to craft his work developed from that podium. It took consistency, discipline and hard work for him to be recognised on a prestigious level outside the church. He eventually discovered his confidence and credence, he had to re-evaluate his perspective. He felt he was not good enough for people to listen to his music. “I believed no one would want to hear my music. But now I have conquered my fear of singing, I am comfortable with my voice, and it’s an additional instrument for me.” 

Nonetheless, he was able to rise above, fear, self-criticism and now believes in his potential. Although the – Hammond B-3 organ – his instrumental alternative produces the core sound of the groups’ musical identification. His polished and unwrinkled vocals make the music beautiful. 
 
What we appreciate is his conveyance, it is personal and euphoric. It composites everything from Marvin Gaye, Prince and Stevie Wonder.
