Get Ready! King Zwelithini Is Set To Attend The Maskandi Concert #GcwalisaImabhidaStadium – Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, the Zulu tribal leader has designated fanatics of “Maskandi” to connect with him in commemorating in the genre on the 30th of March 2019. 

Khuzani Mpungose is determined to fill up Moses Mabhida Stadium with the agenda to give rise to the genre and elevate its status to a higher pedestal. The producers have requested King Zwelithini to give a green light to their project.  He has known concerning the upcoming concert for a while now.

When he was asked for permission to host the concert, the King of the Zulu Land said, “I considered myself also invited,” exclaimed by Buthelezi, who also happens to be the leader of the “Inkatha Freedom Party”.
“I declare success to Khuzani and his production,  all the best and may all the hard work of organising this concert pay off in the end. I will do all I can to attend it, and I designate upon all lovers of maskandi to follow my footsteps.

They estimate the concert to be an experience of a lifetime, artists such as Shwi Nomntekhala, Izingane Zoma, Ihashi Elimhlophe, Benny Mayengane and Amageza Amahle will be performing and sharing their music with their fans. People responsible for the event, including Khuzani have maintained the celebration has been created to celebrate the genre of Maskandi as a distinct, honoured South African music genre. It has been long affiliated as the music of the illiterate but that is no longer the case.
