WESTLIFE Release Their Brand New Single ‘Better Man’
Following their stellar comeback ‘Hello My Love’, The UK’s top selling album group of the 21st century, Westlife have released ‘Better Man’, the second single from their forthcoming album.
The soaring contemporary ballad was written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, and once again shows the band on their very best form. The group worked with award-winning Irish director Lochlainn McKenna on the video for ‘Better Man’.
“When we decided to come back, one of our first moments together as a band was to go into Steve Mac’s studio – he started to play us a song that he had just written for us with Ed Sheeran, that’s the first time we heard ‘Better Man’. That was also the exact moment when we all knew we had made the right decision. It’s a song that truly defines Westlife and one that we know will become a classic amongst our fans,” the band say of the single.
Since it’s release in January, Westlife’s last single, ‘Hello My Love’ has spent nine consecutive weeks in the UK Top 40 and amassed over 65 million streams globally. The track has been one of the band’s most successful radio records, with 21,000 plays at UK radio to an audience of 244 million people.
Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian announced their return to music in October 2018 to a frenzy of media coverage and social media activity. The band have signed a new record deal with Virgin EMI, with a new album to follow in 2019.
