Mampintsha says Babes Wodumo is the Abuser!

This keeps on getting interesting. What a turnaround of events, now – Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo is the one now, who has laid charges against his partner, Gqom singer Babes Wodumo, professing the popular video that went viral; what we see him doing, was his tactic of defence against his girlfriend, stated by his lawyer on Tuesday.

He decided to hand himself over to police custody; this following Bongekile – Babes Simelane -Wodumo pressing charges; common assault charge against him. Even though he claims he was assaulted too, hence he has opened a case against his girlfriend too. He explained this in an interview hosted by the eNCA team outside Westville Police Station. He says he is also a victim. So people Mampintsha has opened a case of assault, welcome to Mzansi.

Apparently, the video was not received well by Mandla, he concludes the whole arrangement was a setup to destroy his image. I am not hearing anything from him taking responsibility for any of his actions. He seems to point all the blame to Bongekile (Babes Wodumo). In the video we vividly see him assaulting his girlfriend who appears defenceless to his physical abuse. This was seen via Instagram live on Sunday. 

No time was wasted, they granted him R2000 bail after spending a few hours in jail on the charges of assault. He added her girlfriend is a drunk – “Babes has an alcohol problem, and she fights with everyone when she’s drunk,” says Mampintsha.He maintains he was defending himself; Talk about defending yourself; so basically all that action was his way of taking justice into his own hands.

“On that night Babes came home at around midnight and beat me up with a Gucci sandal on my lips and the sandal is as hard as a tyre”. – MampintshaHe then relates how Bongekile repeated the altercation until the time of the recording.

“I wanted to go and wash the blood off my lip but she kept on hitting me, there were children and housekeepers in the house while the altercation took place.”

And he confirmed he has ended the relationship, it’s all in the past. It seems Babes Wodumo is the one abusing Mandla, the victim is Mampintsha, well, that is his side of the story. He added; he has been stroked so bad in the past by Miss Simelane using a stick around his legs. Things got so bad he involved her family to seek for assistance.
“If Babes would stop drinking alcohol, she would be fine.”

He says there are people who have seen Babes Wodumo physically assault him, but they are cowards and will not have the courage to speak, fearing to lose their jobs. All of them are Babe’s employees. This has just escalated to a complicated love duo. I hope Babes Wodumo has got a good defence team to prove her innocence; especially if everything that has been stated happens to be lies.
