Black Coffee Creates Music With Pharrel Williams – Black coffee, real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo is doing it once again, raising our flag up high. He is currently working with the beloved Pharrell Williams. this is great news because not so long ago he was working with Kelly Rowland.
DJ Black Coffe posted a video on Instagram revealing his workings in the studio with Pharrell, they are working together on a hefty Gqom Beat and when you observe, you can take note of Pharrell Williams improvising to the beat utilizing memorable rhymes.
The video begins with Pharrell freestyling and then he steps into the booth to engrave the lines on the track. Black Coffee then proceeds to explain how the collaboration came about, He further adds that it was the music that spoke to Pharrell, not a genre.
The video is established with Pharrell working his lines and proceeds to step into the booth to inscribe the lines on the single. Black Coffee steps in to expound how his association with Pharell materialized, he adds it was the music that touched him not necessarily the genre.
“what he connected to was not a genre, it was a sound, it was like a thing. For me, that is the conversation…I have never produced a Gqom song before”
Says Black Coffee. “Me being on that Music Is King journey was me saying I’m a producer, I’m not a house music producer I’m just a producer, anything that moves me I will work on” He adds.
