Electro English Band Morcheeba Set To Perform At Kirstenbosch Gardens

Electro english band Morcheeba will be performing for the first in South Africa in Cape Town At Kirstenbosch Gardens on April the 6th. The band is legendary it formed back in 1995 consisting of two 3 members Skye Edwards and Ross Godfrey and Paul. The band has made a huge success on their music career having sold over 10 million copies and released 8 albums.

In 1998, Morcheeba collaborated with Hubert Laws to record the classic song “Summer Time” for the Red Hot Organization’s compilation album Red Hot + Rhapsody, a tribute to George Gershwin, which raised money for various charities devoted to increasing AIDS awareness and fighting the disease.

The group’s sound fuses a mix of influences from trip hop, rock, folk-rock and downtempo. Their last studio album is titled Head Up High and was released in October 2013.

Tickets cost R495 for general admission and will be available via Webtickets or www.wearelive.events from Friday 19 January.
