African Musicians Who Have Won BET Awards – The BET Awards is currently in the eye of victory.

With many African artists being recognised and bagging them, things are indeed changing and recognition has finally settled in Africa, finally, the continent is taking its power back.

1. 2face Idibia (Nigeria)

When the BET Awards first launched the Best International Act – Africa category in 2011, it was arranged for double artistes to jointly be celebrated. – He was at the paramount of his powers, with the ‘Unstoppable International Edition’ album, amplifying his brand by dropping smashing shits such as ‘Enter the place’ and ‘Fly’.

2. D’banj (Nigeria)

He was too ushering the African continent by his association with Don Jazzy, he remains consistent. Got his BET award also in Los Angeles, California on June 26, 2011.

3. Sarkodie’s (Ghana)

Sarkodie’s prominence is intriguing. The Ghanaian superstar reigned the African Hip hop scene, and outside the continent, fans observed and he also won his BET in the year 2012.

4. African superstar Wizkid (Nigeria)

Wizkid walked away with the BET IN 2012, at a time when his relevance to African music was at the establishment. Then signed to EME, Wizkid’s ‘Super star’ classic album took the continent by surprise, and the organisers of BET delighted in that.

5. Ice Prince (Nigeria)

He won his BET in 2013. The first of the solo winners, trendy Chocolate City rapper, Ice Prince set out a blueprint as the initial single recipient of the honor.

6. Davido (Nigeria)

In 2014, he established a celebrated style; he emancipated the conceptual love song ‘Aye’. That set the tone for a successful year which also included a BET.

7. Stonebwoy (Ghana)

The BET Awards expanded to Africa in 2011, with a joint award given to two African acts. It has since been reduced to a single winner, with Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy, picking up the honors for this year.

8. Burna Boy (Nigeria)

Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has been announced as the winner of the Best International Act award at the just concluded 2019 BET Awards.
