Black Motion’s latest signee, Miss P, launches solo career with Ngwana Mosotho

Known for featuring on Black Motion’s It’s You, today Miss P is finally stepping out with a new sound and single titled Ngwana Mosotho. Ngwana Mosotho is about finding herself, staying true to her Sotho roots and passing that pride through the generations.

When asked what the inspiration was for her new single, the soulful vocalist said:

“I’ve always wanted to do a Sesotho song and being in the studio that day I found its more than that. I went through self-discovery while writing the song and I actually got to understand me; know who am, where am from and where am going.”

The afro-pop inspired track is a different sound compared to what Miss P fans would have expected, but showcases that she is one of the few vocalists that are not bound to a specific genre.

“Ngwana Mosotho is completely different from ‘It’s You’ with black motion. I love house music, it’s what introduced me to the industry but I wanted to do something totally different, a new sound, a new me,” said Miss P.
