Holly Rey Claps Back To A Fan Throwing Shade For Her SAMAs25 Win! – Our Pop singer Holly Rey has been trending for the right reasons, and it is fitting following she scooped the coveted record of the year award at the Samas on Saturday.
Holly owned the spotlight at the Sun City awards ceremony when she walked away with the big prize of the night.
She took to social media to share visuals of her receiving the award. Who could have thought or predicted that Holly Rey’s “Deeper” would surpass, AKA’s Fela in Versace, Prince Kaybee’s Club Controlla, Banomoya, Vur Vai and Asphelanga to win this tough category? Looking at social media and the responses, It came as a surprise, but, hey – people voted, the girl from Durban did it, we need to admit, Deeper was a groovy jam and she is a worthy winner.
Now, a fan left a comment, clearly indifferent to the choice of the vocalist scoring the record of the year, so, they left a shady comment. This is what it had to say:

I love how homegirl did not take it lying down, she gracefully responded, spitting facts of how deserving she is of her win. I mean if you do not have anything nice to say, why does one see the obligation to comment? Anyways, neither here nor there, you can love her, throw shade, the girl just created history and we are here to show her love. This is what her response had to say:
