D’Banj Speaks Up For The First Time After Son’s Death . Over a month ago Nigerian musician woke up to the tragic news of the death of his one year old son who drowned in a swimming pool on their home.  He was in LA for the BET Awards at the time.

The star took a break from the public eye but has now decided to come public with his grief and how he has been handling the loss of his child also thanking people who have supported him.

He posted a picture of himself praying in a church and described some of the emotions he’s gone through over the last few weeks.

“The past few weeks have been incredibly trying and difficult, but God’s love has kept me and my family going,” he wrote.

He expressed gratitude to his team and fans for the support during this difficult time.

“I can’t thank my team enough and the incredible love from you all. May God keep us all. #StrongerTogether”
