DJ Fresh Speaks On Getting Fired & Announces New Show – South Africans are showing their support for DJ Fresh after the SABC Terminated his contract from Metro FM on Tuesday, 9th of July 2019 afternoon.

Metro Fm released a statement in which it said his contract had been terminated following a protracted disagreement.

“The termination follows unsuccessful engagements between SABC radio management and Thato Sikwane (Fresh’s real name), subsequent to his usage of offensive language on air,”

He has released a statement thanking his fans for the calls and overwhelming support but he sees being fired from SABC as a blessing. He announced that he will be part of a new show on the 1st of August 2019.

As you may know, Fresh was dismissed following a complaint to the BCCSA regarding the foul language used on air. The SABC insist Fresh refused to apologise on air for the act – although he denied in a statement released on Monday, 8th of July 2019.

Today, Tuesday morning DJ Fresh appeared on Newzroom Afrika as a guest co-host. Fans have flooded social media platforms to stand by their man. Who knows? It might the very same place he was in that will be his new home, or perhaps he is starting his own thing, same as what Marawa did after being fired, who knows?
