Fans React To The SABC Terminating DJ Fresh’s Contract With Immediate Effect – This has been a journey of a lifetime, following consistent speculations for three weeks over DJ Fresh’s dismissal after being accused of using strong language on air.

Now, it is official his contract has been terminated, the SABC has released a statement giving a green light, confirming his no longer part of the Metro Fm radio station.

So, the statement has been released by the SABC on Tuesday, the 9th of July 2019, explicating that they have concluded to let the DJ go after “unsuccessful engagements” and DJ Fresh’s behaviour in escorting the broadcaster into disgrace.

According to Sunday WorldDJ Fresh’s used the word “msunery” in response to a listener’s comments during an interview with Khanya Mkangisa on May the 20th. He has been since suspended from His Metro Fm – FreshBreakfastShow.

“The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) would like to announce that it has terminated the contract of Mr. Thato Sikwane also known as DJ Fresh, with immediate effect. The termination follows unsuccessful engagements between SABC Radio Management and Mr. Thato Sikwane, subsequent to his usage of offensive language on-air, resulting in the SABC being found guilty and sanctioned by the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) for contravention of clause 6 of the BCCSA’s Code of Conduct. In addition, his conduct brought the SABC into disrepute,” reads the parts of the statement.

Now he made an appearance on Newzroom Afrika’s morning show, Breaking Dawn. He joined the likes of Gugu Mhlungu, Sizwe Dhlomo just to name a few on Tuesday, 9th of July 2019.

Well, nothing is transparent at the moment, one of the founders of the channel Thabile Ngwato offered him a slot on Twitter.

He issued a statement on the 8th of July 2019, DJ Fresh explained he offered to apologise two weeks ago, although he had no clue when he would return to the radio station.
