Moonchild Sanelly Joins FIFA 2026 Project

South African singer and performer Moonchild Sanelly has confirmed her involvement in the upcoming FIFA 2026 project. Sharing her excitement on TikTok, the Eastern Cape-born artist revealed that this will not be her first collaboration with the global football organisation.
The 37-year-old, whose real name is Sanelisiwe Twisha, is known for her striking blue hair and her self-created music genre, Future Ghetto Funk. She has built an impressive portfolio of collaborations and solo projects, including hits such as Askies, iWalk Ye Phara, NdiKuze, and Ur Sheetee. Her high-profile features include work with DJ Tira and Busiswa on Midnight, contributions to The Lion King: The Gift with MY POWER, and collaborations with international artists like Gorillaz and Beyoncé.
In her TikTok video, Moonchild Sanelly shared her enthusiasm about joining FIFA 2026. She highlighted that she already has four songs associated with FIFA and described her continued participation as a personal milestone. “I’m at sound check at Birmingham and on my way, I found out that I’m part of FIFA 2026 as well. If you know your maths, you’ll know that I have double history and number two you’ll know that I have four songs on FIFA,” she said.
Moonchild Sanelly has performed at major international festivals, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, SXSW in Austin, Texas, and UK events such as Glastonbury and Boardmasters. In 2018, she toured Europe with South African hip-hop group Die Antwoord.
