Watch! Berita’s Spectacular Performance At The Ugu Jazz Festival – The 2019 Ugu Jazz Festival was established by Eyadini Events and Ugu District Municipality at St Michael’s Sands Hotel last Friday.

This year’s festival was a two-day affair, with the Jazz Festival that took place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 29 followed by a beach picnic at St Michael’s beach on Sunday, June 30.

Organisers promised an incredible line up of performances by big acts such as Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Caiphus Semenya, Judith Sephuma, Lira, Thandiswa Mazwai, Tshepo Tshola, Mafikizolo, Sjava and Mbuso Khoza.

Naima K, Berita, Zahara, Afro Soul, Brenda Mtambo, Umkhumbane, Unathi, Malini, Lady Zamar, Shekhinah, Mlindo and Mahotella Queens.

Ugu mayor Mondli Chiliza said the jazz festival had become one of the district’s flagship events aimed at fostering social cohesion, economic growth and promoting the district as a tourist destination of choice.
