Winnie Khumalo Set To Release A New Single For Women’s Month “Ixesha” – The iconic singer and performer Winnie Khumalo is commemorating 31 years in the music and this will be happening in a prestigious manner. 

The multifaceted artist, in her peak, she has collaborated with producer Sello “Chicco” Twala, the late Brenda Fassie and kwaito group Bongo Maffin will be emancipating a track that advocates to inspire women. The title of the track is iXesha , which attributes CandiSonic and DJ Wisani, is notable. This will take place on the 9th of August 2019, Mzansi will celebrate Women’s Day.

Women’s month is a time reflecting on past struggles and achievements and current standing of women society, how they are sculpturing the society at large.

So, the title of Winnie’s new single, iXeshaXhosa for “time”, came at the right time. The song resonates the authority women have and they need to understand it and be it.

 

According to SunBuzz, the Live My Life hitmaker encouraged women to be strong and resilient.

“It’s about time we take our power back and live without fear of being told we should behave in a certain way for society to accept us.

“This song is not about relationships but a woman’s position in society. In my years in the music game, I’ve seen things happening around me that forced me to appreciate myself more as a woman,” she said.
