A Beef Cooks Up Between Prince Kaybee And DJ Shimza Over Hit Single ‘Club Controller’

DJs at war, fans awaiting diss tracks

In just a matter of few hours Prince Kaybee is embroiled in two different beefs with musicians Cassper and DJ Shimza.

Yesterday it was reported that Prince claimed Cassper stole the chord progression of his single Charlotte which he used in a song Check On You featuring Davido. Now the issue is about a hit song Club Controller by Prince Kaybee featuring La Soulmates and TNZ, which Shimza claims he got first long before the DJ tagged himself along.

Shimza also revealed that Kaybee blocked him on his social media pages.

“Just realized that Price Kaybee blocked me on Twitter and Instagram, not that I care but it’s probably coz I got Club Controller before he tagged his name on it and when asked I kept saying I don’t know. Such pettiness ? #Suka” he Tweeted.

Shimza went on to share a series of tweets directed to Kaybee.

“Then he lies on Yfm saying he was telling me that it’s his song. I never speak to this guy, last time we spoke I asked him about a gig in Zim that I was going to. Nigga is going to say the industry is against him while he’s the one that behaves like this…”

However, in his own defence, Prince Kaybee confirmed that he did truly block Shimza but insists the song is his. He claims to have started working on the song as far back as June with La Soulmates and TNZ. He Tweeted:

“Just read this, I most definitely cannot be in a song debate with Shimza because he can’t produce his own songs. But to be clear, I started #ClubController way back in June with Lasoulmates and TNS. Now the song leaked with a wrong title and I’ve been trying to fix that since☹️”
