Freshlyground’s Zolani Mahola Goes Solo – The Freshlyground lead superstar and song-narrater Zolani Mahola has publicized her departure from her longtime group.

This follows 17 years creating memorable music with the band, Zolani Frienshlyground‘s plans to put attention on her new journey as an independent musician and motivational speaker.

According to a KFM report, the musician asserted it was the right moment in her life to communicate “deeply personal themes of identity and belonging in her work”.

“It’s been an epic journey and Freshlyground will always be an integral part of my life story.

“I’m extremely proud of what our band has achieved and how we were able to unite our country through music and take our unique sound to the world. It may seem like the end of an era, but it’s certainly not goodbye,” she said.

As you know her music is saturated with culture, her cotemporary musical style will also connotate such expressions. So, Fanatics a fusion of “Xhosa folk meets acoustic Americana”, with a hint of indie-rock will be your dish.
