Mshoza Becomes The Face Of A Locally Crafted Gin – The KWAITO icon is now officially the face of a home-brewed gin!
The gin is called GINseng, which is creating waves in Vanderbijlpark in the south of Joburg, a person who is responsible for the establishment of such a creation, Kamohelo Dibate and Katlheho Liesetso.
According to Daily Sun Mshoza, real name is Nomasonto Maswanganyi, asserted she decided to collaborate with the brand due to the fact that it is black-owned.
“I’m all about work and they understand that. I also believe in giving back to those who work hard. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to join them as an ambassador.
“I know how it feels to be rejected when the only thing you want is to be given a chance to blossom,” said Mshoza.
“But when you rise, people want to be around you.”
For those that want to exercise their palates, the gin has been on the streets for approximately three months ago. The taste has a pinch of cinnamon and orange.
Mshoza said: “It is very nice and classy. However, people should enjoy it responsibly.”
Well, the brand’s head of marketing, Nathan Booysen, asserted they chose Mshoza as they admire her work.
“We’re big lovers of gin and we decided it was the right time to start our own.
“It’s a stressful market to tap into, but we see it as a challenge. The feedback has been impressive. People love the taste and that it’s tasty even when it’s not mixed.”
No details on the official launch, yet to be publicised. But the gin is mostly available in retail outlets in the Vaal for R349.
