DJ Da Capo Scoops An International Award – Mzansi DJ Da Capo is one of the giants to making Mzansi’s flag high in Ibiza, Spain, yesterday when he scooped a top international award.
The 27-year-old Limpopo-born DJ took received the Afro-house award at the DJ Awards.
He was nominated alongside Culoe De Song, Floyd Lavine, Hyenah, Osunlade Official and Super Flu. The DJ, whose real name is Nicodimas Mogashoa, was following in the footsteps of his mentor, Black Coffee, who won the deep house category last year.
Da Capo showed gratitude to his fans for voting for him.
He also appreciated his record company, Soulistic Music, owned by Black Coffee, and the people of famous party island Ibiza.
Da Capo was born and bred in Seshego, near Polokwane. He has been making music for more than 10 years after first being signed up by Canadian music label DNH Records, owned by well-known DJ Nick Holder.
