Watch! DJ Shimza Takes Action To The Streets In Doeks & Others Against Femicide – The house DJ Shimza and other men ushered to the streets, covered in doeks to empathise with women and reveal their standpoint against gender-based assaults.
Mzansi has been saturated by multiple reports of femicide, consistently over the past two weeks. Shimza used his relevance and platform to play a part, pushing it further than tweeting, but show courage by taking action to eradicate the affliction.
Shimza and other male counterparts were Dressed in a doek, which was quite adorable to withness, he united the Kasi Walk 4 Women initiative on Saturday. The intentional matching took place from Ebuhleni to the Tembisa police station, where a petition to put to a halt of gender-based violence was handed over to law-enforcement officials.

SA has been gripped by several reports of femicide over the past two weeks and Shimza wanted to do his bit to fight the scourge.
Dressed in a doek, he joined the Kasi Walk 4 Women initiative on Saturday. The walk took place from Ebuhleni to the Tembisa police station, where a petition to stop gender-based violence was handed over to law-enforcement officials.
