Burna Boy Coming To Perform In SA Despite Xenophobic Tweet Of “Never Setting Foot Again” – Notwithstanding Burna Boy’s tweet that surfaced two months ago where he boldly shared, he will not be touching the soils of South Africa for any performances, the Nigerian beloved star will headline the Africans Unite concert right here in South Africa.

The scheduled concert was publicised this week and will attribute performances from Kwesta, Jidenna, Busiswa just to name a few.

If you can still recall in the previous month after reports, hogging headlines of claimed xenophobic attacks in South Africa, Burna Boy ushered to social media to communicate his stance and exasperation concerning the ordeal.

A fraction of African Musicians had to Cancel Their Performance’s Due To SA Xenophobic – As we observed our cities, they appear to be calmer concerning the aftermath of the consistent assault on foreign nationals.

In a thread of tweets, Burna Boy transparently indicated that Africans needed to unite, although also said he will not associate himself with Mzansi. Amid the week of the xenophobic attacks, many celebrities and influencers across Africa came out with the notion opposing the attacks.

Tiwa Savage also cancelled her performance at the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival happening following that outrage.

“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA,” she said.

Our Afro-pop duo, Mafikizolo, was then scheduled to perform in Zimbabwe, but also cancelled their performance meant to be on the 5th of September 2019 due to that current state.

Also, this is what the caption Simphiwe Dana shared to her fans as a sign to show her frustration:

What a devastating week! The general state of lawlessness is alarming and heartbreaking! We need more than prayer. We need action #SayNoToXenophobia#LoveYourNeighbor#EmpathyAndUnity

Well, perhaps this is will be a platform to show all South Africans that we all need to forgive and stand as one continent, instead of being divided. How do you feel about his action, and putting in mind the idea of attempting to have Africa as one?
