Thandiswa Mazwai Continues To Speak For The Voiceless To be Treated Fairly Amid #21daylockdownSA

Thandiswa Mazwai Continues To Speak For The Voiceless To be Treated Fairly Amid #21daylockdownSA – Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said he believes it may be at least two weeks before the lockdown affects the rise in cases.

South Africans in health care, law enforcement, food sales and distribution, and utilities are exempt from the lockdown. Officials are urging others to only go out for essential needs.

Thandiswa Mazwai has communicated her worry and concern that the constitution must not be abused during this time.

Thandiswa ushered to Twitter to implore with minister of police Bheki Cele to ensure that police and South African National Defence Force (SANDF) are instructed properly to comprehend that citizens have only allowed the suspension of some of their rights for the greater good.

She pleaded that they handle their task with the dignity the situation requires.

Check out the posts below:

“Please, Bheki Cele, it is important to be clear that the army and police are called on to protect civilians and enforce the shutdown with dignity. We have momentarily let go of our rights but only allowed their suspension for the greater good!”

Thandiswa Mazwai has been one of the many social figures to speak out unashamedly since the coronavirus outbreak reached South Africa.

She continues to use her voice and platform to speak out against certain actions done by local citizens, like panic buying, but also how the government has been dealing with the situation thus far.

Thandiswa has been also playing her part to make sure SAMPRA does its part in ensuring that artists don’t starve.
