Kelly Khumalo Introduced As The Judge Of A New SA Singing Talent Show ‘Stand Up South Africa’. SABC2 took to Instagram on Monday 8 March 2021, to announce its new upcoming talent show, Stand Up South Africa. The channel is calling all parent-child singing duos of South Africa. Competitors are expected to record a30-second video of themselves singing, standing a chance to win prize worth R100 000. Stand Up South Africa is a new musical talent prime-time show inspired in the millions of videos on the web where parents and children get together and sing.

Kelly Khumalo has been introduced as one o the judges for the new singing competition talent show and the star was beaming with excitement as she shared the video on her Instagram account announcing the news. In the video, Kelly is heard saying: “We are looking for the most talented South African duo, you can pick any member of your family. This is a duo not a solo competition.” See post:

Kelly Khumalo has long been deanded by the public to become the judge for Idols SA, and finally she will be the judge for a new duet competition. Reasons behind that besides judging potential and offering sound musical advice to contestants but because Kelly Khumalo can also teach these contestants how to handle bad publicity, how to ensure they hire the best publicists who will ensure that their names isn’t dragged through the mud.

In a post by the official Instagram account of SABC 2, the channel shared more information regarding the competition: “Moms and sons, dads and daughters, #SABC2 is calling on all parent-child singing duos of South Africa, there’s a brand new singing competition just for you – Stand Up South Africa. Send a 30-sec video of the two of you singing to 082 065 5174. R100 000 up for grabs #MakeRoomForMore.”

“People that have gone viral on the internet such as duets between parents and kids will now finally get a chance to perform and showcase their talent in a television set in front of every demanding jury. For the first time these duets will be recognised and awarded,” reads the SABC 2 statement.
