Top 10 Things You Did Not Know About Majozi In 2019

Top 10 Things You Did Not Know About Majozi In 2019 – Gradually, Majozi has been steadily climbing the South African music ladder, granted the chance to open for Matthew Mole, Gangs of Ballet, Zebra and Giraffe, Mango Groove and international artist, Yoav.

Check Out His Top 10 Below:

  1. South African singer Majozi has a self-titled sophomore album. The album arrives following the release of a single called Waiting which reached number 1 on 5FM’s Top 10 Pop Chart and Jacaranda’s SA Top 20.

2. He has learnt a great deal concerning himself as he has matured. He turned 31. Faith has kept him going through the tribulation of this life.

3. For his album, he wrote concerning his personal encounters and where his mind would be at the time. Every single is lamented by a poetic essence, although for the most part beneath the layers are personal narratives, dreams and desires.

4. It was a challenge he had to vanquish inputting the second full-length album together. His attempt to persuade his fans to understand his new sound and direction. Change is not something always welcomed. Even though people are not always receptive but he had to come out of his comfort zone.

5. He is self-taught, learnt how to play the piano. He could play a little before, but now he is way better. He also learnt how to use the vocoder. It’s so much fun for him!

6 Using 5 words, his album is “A fresh soulful Majozi experience.”

7. His favourite song on the album is “I Want Your Love.” It’s one of his favourites and initial songs I wrote for the album. It has a little throwback 90’s feel. He listened to a lot of Janet Jackson at the time.

8. He appreciates Ewald Janse Van Rensburg (producer extraordinaire), and Aston Wylie ( harmonies and BV’s), without these guys the album wouldn’t be as awesome as it is he asserted.

9. Born Nhlanhla Majozi (27) from Mount Edgecombe, near Durban, he studied a foundation course in jazz and popular music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

10. He says No matter how desperate and alone he feels, no matter how much opposition he faces, no matter how precarious life can become, God, stated, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”.
