His arrival and that of other young DJs has breathed fresh life into the dance music genre.
Sikhululo Maliwa, better known as Lulo Café, is celebrating 10 years in the music industry.
Not resting on his laurels, the award-winning producer and DJ, with a formidable career, recently founded the Lulo Arts Academy.
Lulo has managed to work his way up to the A-list of disc jockeys in a short time. Since his introduction to the industry, he has established himself as one of the soul and R&B house maestros.
Known for his signature soulful House sound, the programme based in the Vaal has been established to upskill and develop young people wanting to pursue the creative arts.
Lulo Café has given exposure to or assisted musical acts ranging from Prince Kaybee to Deejay Hudson, using his “Know Your Local” segment within his Metro FM radio show, Audiogasm, as a platform.
This past weekend, Lulo Café teased a new album release – 10 Year Legacy. More teasers from the upcoming album can be expected before the Durban July weekend.
