Prince Kaybee Weighs In on The Idea That People Must Buy All Stock From Street Vendors
Prince Kaybee Weighs In on The Idea That People Must Buy All Stock From Street Vendors – Many South Africans are currently preparing for a 21-day lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Now, Somizi Mhlongo publicly announced and urged those stocking up to get their fresh fruit and veg from street vendors while they can.
President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday announced a national lockdown starting at midnight on Thursday. Grocery stores and essential services will continue to operate, but street vendors won’t.
The lockdown lasts until April 16. Somizi has motivated his followers to support the vendors so they have an income to sustain them during the lockdown.
It sounds Like a great plan, although, Prince Kaybee differs and finds the initiative unnecessary. Well, he does not prohibit individuals from giving those in need of money. He suggests a different approach, donating money than piling up stock that will get rotten in the process. Prince believes, they still need the stock for their own consumption and reselling.
This is what the caption had to say:
The whole thing of buying all stock from street vendors doesn’t make sense to me. Why not just give them the money and let them keep that stock as groceries for themselves for the rest of the Lockdown so that when they get back they have capital to buy more stock.
