Sha Sha Speaks On How Her Past Relationship & Love Inspires Her Music

Sha Sha (born Charmaine Mapimbiro in Mutare) is an Amapiano artiste and musician. She hails from Mutare in Zimbabwe. Her family separated after she was born. Her career started professionally in 2017.

Shasha divulges that in most cases everyone has gone through toxic relationships, heartbreaks and all that drama, “I usually take some of the energies of my past experiences and translate them in my music”

Shasha explicates that love resonates with her music, especially with her hit. Tender Love which features the singer using a mixture of Swati, isiZulu, Sesotho and English in her lyrics. Although she sings her verse in English, she delivers the hook in Swati and the chorus in a mixture of isiZulu, Sesotho and English.

So, the song was birthed from heartbreak by an exclusive individual who she was in a relationship with previously. The former partner who she prefered not to mention inspired her latest hit banger.

However, she did mention there is no one at the particular moment she is dating when posed with a question concerning her relationship status. She further went to disclose how the hit song “Tender Love” was initially produced and it appears to have been organic.

“I remember Kabza was in studio and Maphorisa house, a lot of artists. I can come through, I remember Kabza was doing a beat and put a hardcore emotional cords. I mumbled through the beat, what got me to it was the cords man!”

We can definitely learn something from her experience, how you respond to your past, regardless of its pessimistic or positive implications relies heavily on what you decide to do. We can all create something beautiful from pain.
