Ballantine’s Pledge to the Music Industry in response to COVID-19

BALLANTINE’S X BOILER ROOM STREAMING FROM ISOLATION

During the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we are working hard on ways to drive some positive action during these uncertain times. As a brand that supports music and the music community through our True Music platform, we are pledging to do just that. Now, and for the long term. So we want to let you know about an immediate action we are taking: We have committed a six-figure £ sum that includes 20 x £5,000 grants which will be distributed to community-driven music collectives globally who are taking part in our long term partner Boiler Room’s ‘streaming from isolation’ programme. These grants will be given to the collectives to distribute as they feel best within their immediate community to support those most in need over the coming months whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place, impacting their ability to do what they love and to make a living. Weekly takeover days on Boiler Room channels will feature performances and content from these collectives, broadcasted to the world from their homes and creative spaces, keeping music fans connected while they are socially isolating. During the broadcasts there will be an option to donate to The Global FoodBanking Network, for those who are able to.

We kicked off our support this week with a specially curated line-up of home broadcasts from Barcelona based LGBTQ collective @maricasmaricasmaricas.
