Ballantine’s True Music brings you Deep Soul Sensation Saturday’s in support of DJs financially affected by COVID-19
Fans of deep and soulful house are in for a treat in May as Ballantine’s True Music hosts the Deep Soul Sensation Saturday’s (DSSS), a weekly live streaming event featuring top South African and international house deejay’s all-in aid of the DJ Relief Fund. It kicks off this Saturday, 2 May at 22h00 with sets from the legendary Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Christos, Lady Sakhe and Thabo Phalatse.
The event is an extension of the Dance Music Summit (DMS) which was due to take place on 28 March this year but cancelled due to COVID-19 regulations. Ballantine’s True Music who was one of the sponsors of DMS has partnered with the organisers to host the event on its Facebook page. Deejay’s such as Founder of DMS, DJ Christos, the legendary Vinny Da Vinci and seasoned deejay Julian Gomes have decided to share their musical talents and lend a hand to those financially displaced due to the pandemic.
Ballantine’s has always been a champion of true music and supporting creatives and artists in the industry. Late last year they announced the True Music Fund in partnership with Boiler Room, which would offer financial investment and one-on-one mentoring for independent programmers, artists, and creatives, with the goal to help local music communities thrive.
