Jub Jub Finds A Way To Make A Difference To Young Lives

Molemo Maarohanye popurlaly known as Jub Jub, a musician that was convicted of culpable homicide back in 2012 for the death of four school children has taken an initiative to make a difference in the lives of other pupils in various communities by sharing his story.

Jub Jub was released on parole which is a temporal release of a prisoner who agrees to certain conditions before the completion of the maximum sentence period. He was sentenced to 20 years for murder along with his friend who was involved when the incident took place. Their sentences were reduced to 10 years, two of which were suspended.

The hip hop muso has a son with Afro-pop songstress Kelly Khumalo who said she refuses for him to spend time with the child and that the child will decide when he is much older if he wants to have a relationship with his father. “I want him when he’s old enough to decide whether he wants a relationship with him or not. But at this particular time, it’s my duty as the mother to protect my son from that person. I don’t know who he is now, and I don’t wish to know who he is now, but based on what I know of him, I would like to protect my son from that person.” she said.

Now, Molemo is out making music and trying fill the gaps he has opened with what  happened by going to schools, sharing his story to children as a way of encouraging them to live better lives, make and take better decisions and to be careful. He released a single when he got out titled Ke Kopa Tshwarelo which means he is asking for forgiveness for all that he did to families and all of those his actions affected.
