Local And International Artists To Honor Johnny Clegg In Tribute Concert. A virtual tribute concert is to be held to honor Johnny Clegg, artists from South Africa and other international countries are to perform in the concert.

Johnny Clegg had passed away from cancer 1 year ago, his son, Jesse Clegg has decided to organize an online virtual concert to honor his father. The concert is to tribute the legendary artists life and his legacy in music.

A few artists who will be featured in the concert include Freshly Ground singe Zolani Mahola, Majozi, Sipho Mchunu, Soweto Gospel Choir Shekinah and Mr Clegg’s son Jesse Clegg. Many more international artists and local artist are part of the line up.

The concert will be taking place on the 31st of July 2020 at 20:00 SAT, it will be streamed all over the world. It was initially planned to be hosted as a live concert in Johannesburg but plans have changed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, it then got changed to an online virtual concert.

Jesse has shared how it has been a difficult year after they have lost his father. His family still grieves his death a year later. They are now slowly learning to cope with situation. the family is glad that there are many artist who still believe in Johnny’s message of love and unity.
