Due to the severity of the Covid-19 still in place, social distancing laws have been implemented and it seems that they’d be there for quite some time. The laws prohibit public and social gatherings, even though there has been an ease for churches with limitations in place. Musicians from around the globe had to find a way to be creative with the way they give their fans live entertainment.

Some artists have moved on to technology to help with interacting with fans. However, for some fans live concerts on their technological devices is not enough. Zakes Bantwini has a vision for a different type of concert. The musician is focused on a live physical concert that will let people enjoy live music from the security of their own cars, it’s called a drive-in concert. According to the musician, the idea is not a new one.

“Getting services while you’re in your car is not a new thing. It is not fair to close down the whole industry just because of this new pandemic, we can still practice social distancing and every restriction that the government has put forward in Covid-19 with its levels. We can still meet those restrictions while getting entertained and while the industry is still vibrant,” says Zakes Bantwini. He mentioned other nations that used the same idea such as Germany and Denmark. He says they plan on working with the government to ensure that the regulations are complied with.
