Ntsiki Mazwai went on social media to ask a pretty hefty question in regards to Lady Zamar and Sjava. The media personality and poet asked the question as to what would happen if the Lady Zamar lied about the sexual assault that singer directed towards Sjava. Ntsiki Mazwai got differing views from people on social media.

“Guys if Lady Zamar lied about rape what is the way forward,” says Ntsiki Mazwai. There were mixed responses from social media users about the statement. Some social media users replied by saying that if Lady Zamar lied then she would have to go to prison. One tweep says, “It’s simple, you go to jail. Why would you lie about the biggest issue in our country.” One tweep says, “Every person that lies about being raped should be given the same sentence that was going to be given to the person they accused of rape, had they been guilty.” However, some social media users don’t like the statement by Ntsiki Mazwai.

One tweep says, “Dear Women…Do not answer this rape culture sponsored question by Ntsiki Mazwai. She is [creating] unnecessary doubt to Lady Zamar and scores of other women. This woman claims to be feminists it’s disheartening to see this…” One tweep says, “I find this tweet from Ntsiki about Lady Zamar and Sjava case extremely problematic. If she lied?…what if she didn’t lie? I’m failing to understand the primary purpose of the tweet [especially] coming from a self-proclaimed activist…”
