Black Coffee Asks SAMAs To Add ‘Jerusalema’ So They Can Make History. Social media users have been on the necks of the South African Music Awards for the people that they put in their nominations.

Social media users have been on the necks of the South African Music Awards for the people that they put in their nominations. People were furious that artists such as Makhadzi, Master KG and Nadia Nakai were not chosen as they had some of the best runs in 2019. Black Coffee also weighed in on the issue of Master KG not being chosen due to his song ‘Jerusalema’ featuring Nomcebo Zikode.

The house music producer told the SAMAs that they still have time to make history by adding the song up for nominations. “[SAMAs] don’t you wanna make history, by adding Jerusalema on this year’s Awards…I mean you can,” says Black Coffee. Social media users agreed with the ‘Music Is King’ musician. One social media user says, “Jerusalema should be added one way or the other.” One social media user says, “They can I mean Jerusalema is our history on its own…” One user says, “I doubt they will…besides I honestly think they shouldn’t, it won’t be genuine!”

“[That] [would] be great…I mean…,” says DJ Maphorisa. The song has reached international heights, Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode have also been appointed to be ambassadors to the world by Minister Nathi Mthethwa under the DSAC Cultural Diplomacy Programme.
