Fans Disappointed Master KG and Makhadzi Are Not Nominated For A SAMA26 Award. The South Africa Music Awards nominees have been announced, but now fans are disappointed that Limpopo’s Master KG and Makhadzi were not nominated for any award.
In 2019 Master KG released are hit single called Jerusalema featuring Nomcebo. The song now has over 35 million on YouTube. The song was considered as a December hit in the country. Jerusalema now has hit the Billboard charts after the remix with Burna Boy. “Master Master KG” has been having a lot of big achievements in terms of his music.
Female singer Makhadzi also released a major song which was considered as a “wedding” banger for December called Matorokisi featuring DJ Call Me and MrK2. The son now has over 4 million views on YouTube.
The two songs the Makhadzi and Master KG were the biggest songs in the end of 2019. It would be highly expected for these songs to at least get one nomination. Fans mostly specifically wanted the songs to be under the category of the award for Record Of The Year.
Master KG took his disappointment to Twitter and posted a picture of Nomcebo with a message saying that they will try again next time and that they are grateful for all the support they have been receiving.
The ‘Haka Matorokisi’ Venda singer also took it to Twitter to express that she was really sad for not getting a nomination she wrote “Congratulations to all @TheSAMAs nominees…so said for not being recognized [broken heart emoji] after what matorikisi did to AFRICANS last year. to all my fans I submitted everything is just that ndinga ndoneta tshinyama [crying emoji].. Your love and support matters[heart emoji’s]. He message says that she just ubfortunately had bad luck and did not get nominated.
The two Limpopo musicians had been trending on Twitter through out the day, all their fans and supporters were amazed at the fact that they were not nominated. Many artists sent them encouraging tweets. Hopefully the two will then next time gain the relevant recognition their fans think they deserve.
