Msawawa Goes Into A Different Music Genre. Former Kwaito child star Msawawa has decided to change music genres.

Former Kwaito child star Msawawa has decided to change music genres. The musician has chosen to move with his faith and go on to pursue in the gospel music genre. The musician spoke to Daily Sun about how being famous but broke at once had him changing.

We all know that the music game is not the easiest in the world as we have recently seen with the issues between musicians and their recording labels. Msawawa has also been a witness of the music industry being a cut-throat industry. The musician says that he became reckless due to fame. “Fame overpowered me and I became reckless. Being famous didn’t work for me. It made me big headed. There was a time when I was famous yet broke,” says Msawawa. In 2018, the musician publicised that he was getting back to the music industry after being away for quite a while.

However, that didn’t work as he had planned. The artist says that he did everything he could to make sure that he was relevant until he chose to go to church. “I tried everything to remain relevant, but it didn’t work and my fame faded. I decided to go to church and become a born-again Christian,” says the former kwaito artist. Msawawa released a gospel single title ‘Thandaza’.
