Legendary musician Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse has joined several other South African celebs in mourning the passing away of the late legendary actress Mary Twala. The actress passed away on Saturday in Johannesburg. The news of her passing away were acknowledged by Somizi Mhlongo on social media.
The musician was hurt by the new of the actress’ passing away. Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse told TshisaLive that the late actress left a hole in his life and in the entertainment industry. “I would like to thank Mary for her resilience in this difficult industry. For allowing us into her space and coming into our homes. Her face was a reflection of difficulties of this life and it also carried a smile and pain,” says Sipho Hotstix Mabuse. The artist went on to give her props for being strong and impacting the lives of South Africans at large.
He also went on to state that Somizi Mhlongo is the mirror of who his father and mother were. The musician also recounted meeting the actress when she was working with Gibson Kente before there were televisions in South Africa. “For her to be able to have sustained herself throughout all these years and remain relevant as an actress speaks volumes,” says Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse.
