Prince Kaybee Responds To Social Media User Saying Today’s House Standards Have Been Set Low. House music is one of the most loved genres in South Africa.
House music is one of the most loved genres in South Africa. The genre has had people dancing and helped people get through tough times in their lives. However, the genre has changed as the years went by.
One social media user feels as if the standards have been set too low in today’s house music as compared to the standards that were set previously. “If we are to be honest, House music of today will never be the same as during the times of Bojo Mujo, Dj Clock, Dj Cleo and Dj Fresh. The bar is way too low these todays…Who remembers those days when everyone was bo Majivane (dancers),” says the social media user. Prince Kaybee responded to the man, telling the man that iTunes has the old music that he is looking for. “Why would we want it to be the same, if you want old stuff it’s there by iTunes. If you have downloaded it delete and download again,” says Prince Kaybee.
Social media user reacted to the response by the house music producer. “Doesn’t change the fact that your music is way below average and it’ll never catch up to the ones made back in the days. Acknowledge and improve your production or just stay and trying to act smart,” says one user. One social media user says, “I think what this person wanted to say is that he/she misses his childhood and the things that were hyped up then, perhaps with a better look and a better understanding of the music craft he would speak better…but as I see it, house is only getting better, and we continue.”
