Beyonce’s ‘Black Is King’ has been making waves in South Africa for its beautiful visuals and the amazing South African stars that have been featured on the visual album. The visuals for the ‘Already’ song featuring Shatta Wale was released the day before the whole visual album was released. In the visuals, there was a part of stunts and spinning vehicles.
The part of spinning cars and stunts was supposedly not approved by the stunt team that produced the video. One of the team member went on social media to state that there was no communication with them in regards to their footage being used for the visuals in the music video and visual album. “…we as badcompany have to announce that it is as much a surprise to us as to you the fans…Seeing the [already] music video with Beyonce and Shatta Wale…We have had no contact or communication with either Beyonce or Shatta Wale in conjunction with using us as badcompany…Spinning and doing stunts for this video…We have not given any consent for our car…,” says Bradleigh Skopas McGregor, one of the stunt drivers.
Social media users reacted to what the stunt driver said. One social media user says, “Proof that the sport is recognized on an international level but they should have gone about this the correct way. One social media user says, “You should shame them on Instagram and tag their official accounts…”
