Simphiwe Dana took to Instagram to share the promotional poster of her upcoming virtual concert, The Lockdown Session. The concert will fature spoken word and poetry as it features acclaimed poet and artist Lebo Mashile.
The concert is set to take place on Sunday the 6th of September 2020. The concert will be the first virtual concert by legendary musician Simphiwe Dana. The show will feature poetry and music infused together as a creative live show.
The Lockdown session will be the return of the two South African artist returning to stage. The “Ndiredi” singer put up a poll on Twitter asking fans on when the date of the concert should be. Fans then voted via poll and chose the set date for the virtual concerts.
The concert will be hosted by the Quicket virtual platform and will only be exclusive for fans who have purchased tickets through Quicket. Even as the show will be a music and poetry session, it will also feature discussions and conversations from the two celebrated artist.
