Entertainment seems to be something that lives within the Nciza family. Singer and one part of Mafikizolo, Nhlanhla Nciza’s son (Ciza) has also ventured into the music business. The father of the upcoming musician is TK Nciza, the man who has found the many musicians that are stars in South Africa.
The musician released his debut track titled ‘Come Alive’ one month ago and he also released ‘Adge’, an Afro-beats song that has a touch of South African Afro-pop sound. The upcoming musician spoke to ‘Drum’ magazine. The name Adge is derived from the Yoruba language in Nigeria, it is reportedly a chant that is employed for kings. The musician says he is an African artist before he is South African, thus he represents the African continent.
Even though, the musician’s interest in music might have been inspired by his parents (Nhlanhla Nciza and TK Nciza), he says that having famous parents comes with a lot of pressure. “Everyone thinks I get special treatment because my parents are in the music industry, but I don’t. It’s actually the opposite. I am constantly having to prove that I am an individual, that I am also talented, and I didn’t get into the music game because of my parents’ success,” Ciza tells Drum. The musician says that his parents also push him to do his best because they believe that he can do better.
