Arthur Mafokate Demands Cash From His Ex-Girlfriend Cici’s Generated Revenue. Arthur now seems to be entitled of the money and revenue that his former signee, Cici’s revenue. Since Cici had recorded music under Arthur labels she moved to another label and made money, the kwaito king is now demanding cash from Cici.
Arthur Mafokate has now disclosed that from the hundred thousands that Cici has made form her music , he has not received a cent. Since his signee and ex-girlfriend had moved to another label without fully informing him, he still owns a sum of her music regardless of the label she has signed to.
Werkmans Attorneys filed papers on behalf of Arthur’s record label 999 Music. The filed papers have been shared with publications that have now reported that Cici and the “Mnike” singer had a deal that she had to relase music under their label for a few years. The “Runaway” singer had left the label and went to Ambitiouz Entertainment just after he had a violent abusive encounter with Arthur.
After Cici had requested to leave 999 Music the clause was that the music stable will forever retain all publishing rights to the work she would record in the future. The stable also held ownership to all copyright and intellectual property of the albums she has released with 999 Music. The label owns 6% of all Cici’s albums and 12% of all her override royalties gigs and music she produces.
Arthur states that he is entitled to around R60K from the money the Top Actor singer has made. Cici in the past years has generated a gross revenue of over a million and now so far she has not yet paid a cent to Arthur and 999 Music. Cici has now shared that she will submit her financial records to Arthur so that he can see how much she “owes” him.
