People deemed the advertisement as being racist because it didn’t put the hair of black people in a good light as compared to the white counterpart’s hair. The Economic Freedom Fighters members protested nationwide at the Clicks stores.

Social media users have begun the #ClicksChallenge on social media platforms. The challenge will have black people wearing their natural hair and no weaves for the next few months. The challenge has received a lot of traction from social media users and celebrities. One of the celebs that has joined the challenge of showcasing the beautiful crowns is Makhadzi. The musician posted her pics to show how beautiful her hair is.
