It seems as if the re-opening of events is bringing issues for entertainers. This is due to scammers messing up their names to get a quick buck. Celebs have gone on to social media before so that they could tell their fans about people who scam them via social media using the celeb names.

The latest celeb whose name has been used as part of a scam is DJ Lamiez Holworthy. She has thus went on social media to put her name back in the good light by telling people what is happening. The scammer had scammed a place that is situated at KwaZulu-Natal. DJ Lamiez Holworthy was set to perform at the place on Saturday. The problem is that they were not talking to the real DJ Lamiez Holworthy but an imposter. The artist spoke about the situation on video.

“This person scammed an establishment in Harrismith called Lebolesi Lifestyle. These people were under the impression I’m playing there and obviously I’m not. This person went as far as signing a contract and being extremely rude, his texts were sent as if they were coming from me…Everyone knows that my mom has managed me for the past 10 years, from the time that I started deejaying until this date,” says DJ Lamiez Holworthy.
