DJ Zinhle is no stranger to getting a plaque for her music. However, her 2019 hit track ‘Umlilo’ featuring Rethabile and Mvzzle have given her more than she thought. The artist received her first award with the ‘Pan African Artist of the Year’ award at the Namibian Annual Music Awards with the track.
Now, ‘Umlilo’ has gone triple platinum. The house music DJ shared the news of the achievement by posting a pic of the plaque on social media. “How do you celebrate the fact that [Umlilo] is a certified triple platinum single? You celebrate the [Boulevard Rose] way. Thank you all especially [Rethabile] [Mvzzle]. Sending love to [Kalawa Jazmee] [Oskido] & [Universal Music Group South Africa],” says DJ Zinhle. Social media users and fellow celebs went on to congratulate the house music DJ.
