Kelly Khumalo’s will allegedly be taken away from her by the bank for allegedly failing to keep to the monthly instalments. Sunday World states that Nedbank’s vehicle finance sector has filed to the Johannesburg High Court for a default judgement. This is after she supposedly defaulted her payment for her 2011 Porsche Cayenne Tiptronic.
The songstress apparently received a loan of over R500 000 to buy the vehicle on the 24th of March in 2017. The musician was supposed to pay below R10 000 in monthly instalments, not including insurance, until the 4th of April 2023 according to Sunday World. However, the publishing company states that Kelly Khumalo was behind by R62 000 on the 10th of July. DRSM Attorneys, Nedbank’s legal representatives, stated in a letter that the artist should pay what she owes to have her account up to date.
The bank scrapped the agreement on the 20th of August when she didn’t respond to the legal letter. The bank thus supposedly wrote another letter to inform her that she should give them back the car because the sale agreement between the bank and her has been cancelled. However, the artist allegedly didn’t bring back the vehicle. The legal representatives told Sunday World that the artist was given summons on the 11th of September but she didn’t appear to defend within 10 days as stated by law. The lawyers are now asking the court to give the bank a judgement and an order that will coerce Kelly Khumalo to give the car to the bank also forfeiting her past instalments.
