This year has been quite tough for musicians in terms of income because they couldn’t go do any gigs due to lockdown. Prince Kaybee went on to social media to speak about the hardships that he encountered when he couldn’t perform at gigs. He told did this when he was giving advice to fellow artists on saving their December income.
“Dear DJ’s, next year might be a 2nd version of 2020, save that money you going to make in December, Please,” says Prince Kaybee. The musician also made an example of how much he might have lost this year because of not being able to do gigs. “Imagine at your peak you do 100 shows a year charging 80k per show…, yep you lost 8 million rand this year…Covid has taken the Live Income from artists and its no Joke,” says Prince Kaybee.
