Summer belongs to Blaq Diamond

We are right within summer, and what better way to welcome it than, the Blaq Diamond way- with a bang! It is time to put on dancing shoes, get wild and forget about problems with some good time vibes and healing, courtesy of the Ladysmith boys. The award-winning duo has released another summer hit titled ‘SummerYoMuthi’. Like all their tracks, fans fell in love with the song within minutes of being released on Friday, 20 November 2020.

SummerYoMuthi is an upbeat pop track with a touch of amapiano. It is a family song, well fitted for the holidays road trips, family braai day, car wash vibes and any other fun summer activity. SummerYoMuthi is Blaq Diamond’s way of healing the country following the tense year 2020 has been, with the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown measures resulting in lives and job losses amongst other things. Produced and written by Blaq Diamond, SummerYoMuthi is the medicine our spirits and our hearts need, because nothing heals like music.

The track’s music video, also released on Friday received much love that it shot straight to the first spot of YouTube trending videos with over 240 thousand views in two days. The video is all about summer fun with friends and family happily doing what they love.

SummerYoMuthi is the first single released by Blaq Diamond following their much-loved sophomore album, Umuthi which has received positive reviews and ratting on iTunes. Umuthi album comprised of their 2019 SAMA Song of The Year banger, Ibhanoyi which is on over ten million views on YouTube. The pair is now gunning for another award following their nomination at the KZN Entertainment Awards under the Newest Find category.
