Armed with a Diploma in Performing Arts, King Joe has worked as an intern on season 1 of BET Africa’s The Big
Secret show. He was also a Junior Art Director on Uthando Nesthembu Season 2 and has worked as a researcher for Mzansi Magic show ‘Yim Lo’.

His music talent has also earned him a chance to perform on an SABC 1 music show – Live Amp alongside award winning rapper iFani. And in 2019 he was the first to be selected to represent South African upcoming artists on the Rick Ross Block Party.

The Xhosa Trapstar hails from Port St Johns in the Eastern Cape, a quaint town dubbed the Jewel of the Wild Coast and was a hippie hideout in the 80s.

The 26 year old King Joe has a flurry of songs available online including two mix-tapes, singles and cover songs. Already, King Joe has a few collaborations with some of the upcoming shakers and movers in the Hip Hop scene including Golden Black, Mnqobi Yazo and Musiholiq.
