TNS is no stranger to speaking about something when it doesn’t sit right with him. Even though the musician has been getting a lot of support from his fans, considering that he was allegedly threatened. However, some music listeners think that the music producer is not relevant because he hardly receives any awards.
Some celebs have stated that they don’t need to have awards to prove that they have talent. Some celebs have succeeded without having awards, DJ Zinhle is an example with her receiving her first award in 2020. TNS also shares the same sentiments as the others as he replies to a social media user. “I don’t work for [awards] that’s why I don’t have any. If I wanted one I would have asked SONY Music, my home to buy it for me so that I can become number 1 for the first time in my country even…Thank You,” says TNS.
A lot of celebs have said that award ceremonies in South Africa are unnecessary. Many artists, such as Babes Wodumo, have said their piece about award shows not being entirely transparent. Recently, the SAMAs were getting backlashes from music listeners for not nominating Master Kg for his hit song ‘Jerusalema’ featuring Nomcebo Zikode. However, after the incident the ‘Jerusalema’ hit maker reached huge milestones outside of the country.
